Aoki Landscaping Co. has been serving the Salt Lake Valley for more than 55 years. A family owned and operated business that was started by Tadashi Aoki as a yard care service transformed into a garden center/nursery/pet store located on 5600 South and 900 East. So many requests were made for actual construction of landscape features and the placement and installation of trees and plants that Aoki Garden Center became Aoki Landscaping Co. Today, Aoki Landscaping Co. is owned and operated by Joi Aoki, daughter of Tad who is in her 21st year of landscape construction.

Our specialty is custom, individualized residential landscaping that is beautiful, functional and suits the personalities of our customers. We avoid the "rubber-stamped" plantings, and of course, where customers feel it would be appropriate, we love to incorporate the simple, yet complex attributes of a Japanese garden. Our specialties include decks, stone and concrete patios, waterfalls and ponds, installation of trees and plants, retaining walls, sprinkling systems and now, we are excited to offer custom art pieces created to be enjoyed outside. Each is one of a kind, never to be repeated.

Our goal is to make your yard a haven into which you escape and one that draws you out into it instead of repelling you away from it. Joi specializes each landscape design to ensure that the materials are appropriate, properly placed, and will mature proportionately to the yard. The array of plant materials are chosen to create interest with form, color and texture. Everyone requests low-maintenance, and we have a lot of advice and suggestions in that area.

Our crew doesn't skip around from job to job. Once we pull onto a job, we are there everyday until it is finished. We keep our customers informed and we really take pride in what we do. We're careful not to decimate your house and yard (unless of course it's included in the plan). And you won't believe this, we actually clean up after ourselves!
